We work to deliver best practice services and solutions to our clients in both the private and public sectors. We use the expertise, knowledge, experience and creativity of our main resource; our people.

RI to support VSO

RI is to host a curry night in aid of VSO on the 4th of February 2012.  Any money raised is to put towards the work of VSO in Sierra Leone. Patrick McDaniel has a close affiliation with Sierra Leone, as he spent two years there in the 1980s as a VSO volunteer. This is part of Patrick’s 50th Birthday celebration.

 

Seafish academy to move to Moodle 2

RI has just initiated the transfer of the Seafish eacademy from Moodle 1.9 to Moodle 2.  This transfer will provide an opportunity to revamp the existing e-learning materials and incorporate the improved functionality offered by Moodle 2.  The transfer and extension of the site is to be completed by the end of March 2012.

 

On-line e-academy completed

The development of a Moodle based e-academy for a large fresh produce company is now complete. This company based training academy has been developed to support induction training and the up-skilling of existing staff. The food and drink manufacturing NOS have been used to provide the standards framework for this development. The academy is to be lauched later this month.

 

Interactive horse management DVD for Christmas

RI has embarked on a joint venture development with the British Racing School, in Newmarket, creating an interactive DVD covering the essentials of basic horse care. An Ideal Christmas present for all budding horse lovers! Click the link below to order your copy.

Revised fishing safety training released

The revised materials piloted over the past three months are to be issued to accredited Seafish Safety trainers at the beginning of October. The revised materials deal with all the basic safety requirements associated with fishing and fishing vessel operation. The revised first aid course has been designed with the help of the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. “ This has been a particularly exciting development as it is the first time that the doctors that receive emergency calls from the maritime sector, have been able to influence the development of the skills of those that are making the emergency calls.” Patrick McDaniel CEO.

SQA Class Project extended for a third year

RI has again been contracted by SQA to support the hosting and management of the CLASS Moodle learning platform for another academic year. "We believe that this development is still unique in the UK in the use of social networking to support the delivery of national qualifications " Patrick McDaniel CEO.
