Mantec Technical Ceramics operates a ceramics manufacturing facility in Stoke on Trent. In 2023, Mantec was asked to design and supply a new client with ceramic containers for retailing alcoholic beverages in the drinks sector. As the containers were to be used to store drink, the HACCP principles had to be applied to their ceramics manufacturing process to ensure the safety of the final product.
HACCP training was delivered to the technical and production team at Mantec so that an HACCP analysis could be developed to support the manufacturing process. This was the first time we had supported the application of HACCP to the manufacture of ceramics. It was an interesting training session that resulted in the drafting of some interesting analysis and planning linked to a very specialised production process.
