PSSR STCW Basic Safety Training is one of the mandatory training courses that is completed by all people heading out to work at sea onboard commercial vessels including superyachts, cruise liners, merchant vessels, ferries etc. It is a minimum requirement for anyone working in the yachting industry.
FlyingFish of Cowes is a training provider that has delivered all the STCW safety training courses to Seafarers from their training facilities on the Isle of Wight for a number of years. Flyingfish are now updating the training materials they use to support this training and we have been helping them to provide the essential course content in an interactive digital format. The PSSR course, which covers a range of safety and social responsibility topics, was the first to be converted. The remaining safety courses dealing with personal survival, fire and first aid are to be converted in the near future.
