The
Workboat Association have been using the
SwiftTrack evidence collection App for the last two years, so it was decided that an evaluation of the App and its value to evidence collection needed to be completed.
We have initiated an evaluation process looking at the SwiftTrack App by asking the Apprentices that have recently completed their apprenticeship to evaluate their experience of using the SwiftTrack App. So far, the feedback received has been positive, particularly linked to access and ease of use of the app.
Development opportunities have also been identified linked to improved guidance on how to get the most out of the App as an evidence collection tool.
As part of the evaluation process we were invited by Kerrie Forster, Chief Executive Officer of the Workboat Association, to attend a meeting of the organisation's training committee, where we were able to share our initial evaluation findings. As a result of that input the training committee saw the value of the evaluation process and agreed that a wider evaluation of training providers and apprentices would be worthwhile. Over the next month feedback is to be sought from those still on the programme. We will report back on our findings next time.
