Case study: East Genomics Moodle Learning Platform

East Genomics required a dedicated digital learning platform to support the delivery of genomic education and raise the profile of its e-learning resources across NHS Trusts within the East of England.

RI Training initially developed a series of bespoke e-learning packages before being commissioned to design and implement a dedicated Moodle learning platform to host and manage the resources. The platform was developed to improve accessibility, learner engagement and the monitoring of course uptake and usage.

The Moodle platform has provided East Genomics with a dedicated, scalable online learning environment to support the delivery of genomic education across the NHS. Now in its third year of operation, the site is regularly accessed by more than 600 users and continues to support the development of healthcare professionals working within genomic medicine.
